Rehearsal Dinner

So you sort of know what to look for, this is the outside of 130 Jackson. It doesn’t look like much, but…

Seeing as how 95 percent of our guests are traveling multiple hours to visit us here in Blacksburg, we will not be having a traditional rehearsal dinner the night before. Instead, we will have an informal party open to whoever happens to be in town by Friday night.  As you figure out whether or not you’ll be making the trip down to Virginia and what your schedule will be like, please let us know if you think you might be able to drop by Friday night. The event will be taking place in downtown Blacksburg at a venue called 130 Jackson. As you might expect, the address of the place is 130 Jackson Street.

Attire: Dressy/casual. Plenty of people will be in dresses, jeans, blazers, etc.

Parking – No parking at the venue but street parking on Draper Road is free. There’s a public parking garage 3 blocks away on Draper thats $5.

…the interior more than makes up for the exterior design, or lack thereof.

Food – Ken will be smoking some pork shoulders through the night and Ken’s mother will be bringing a lot more goodies – stuffed shells, baked salmon, pot stickers, and swedish meatballs, to name a few. We’ll have a couple of pony kegs of local Virginia beer, but please feel free to bring your own drink of choice.

Location – To help you figure out where you’re going, please consult the map below. The marker in the top left corner is 130 Jackson. The entrance faces southeast toward a parking lot on Jackson St which is a one way street. The parking garage is the marker on the bottom right of the map. It’s entrance is in the back on Draper Street, not on Main Street, which is the main drag that runs through town.
